Phonebanks! We’ve got ‘em. Just like Uncle Sam says, “We need YOU!”

Tonight! or May 24, come to a one-hour presentation, Why Michigan? – a virtual event presented by EBAA for those of you who want to understand the whys and wherefores of our decision to play a big role in Michigan elections this year.

May 18 6-7PM and May 24, 2-3PM, right here at your trusty laptop or tablet.

RSVP for Zoom link:

Take a chance on victory. Phonebank with us!

We’re looking for a few good people. And then a few more. And then a whole lot more, because we’ve got a challenging but attainable bunch of elections to win, some splendid candidates, and a host of virtual phonebanks to help get us there.

Now all we need is YOU.

If you sign up for one of our phonebanks, we give you complete instructions on how to call from home. Plus we’ll call and help you do it. Please give it a try.

Get started this Wednesday and Saturday May 20 & 23 with our brand new North Carolina candidate, Dr. Kimberly Hardy, professor of social work at Fayetteville State University. She is running for NC House-43 to be a new voice for the voters of this newly re-districted area of Cumberland County. Dr. Hardy herself will "stop by" at the beginning of each phonebank to say hello and thank our volunteers.

Her platform includes protecting everyone's right to vote, passing independent re-districting, rebuilding schools and roads, clean water, fighting poverty, and expanding Medicaid to provide health care to over 500,000 North Carolinians. She will be a beneficiary of our June fundraising.

More information here.

We have lots more phonebanks and we need callers for all of them!

Those for Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) help re-enfranchise people of color who have been kicked off the voting rolls or whose votes were suppressed in other ways.

Michigan phonebanks will be for our three candidates for State House. We’re delighted to let you know that microbiologist Laurie Pohutsky has been endorsed by Clean Water Action, a huge force for change in Michigan.

And we are starting to call for Mayor Coral Evans of Flagstaff, AZ, candidate for State House in Arizona’s LD-6. Please sign up and show up, from the comfort of your kitchen table.

[EXPIRED LISTINGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED]

Texting

Don’t forget, our monthly 4th Saturday texting party is scheduled for Saturday May 30, 10AM-12 noon (the 5th Saturday, to avoid Memorial Day weekend). Because we don’t know which campaigns will have uploaded their texts until a few days before the event, we will let registered guests know which campaign and how to prepare 2-3 days in advance. RSVP for the May 30 texting party here.

Postcards

If your fingers are itching to write for Padma Kuppa’s campaign in MI, please contact Jan in North Berkeley. Campaigns are starting to integrate postcard follow-ups to phone calls. We will have more opportunities for these carefully targeted actions that have a great track record.

In Oakland contact Danielle for details on postcards for voting rights.

Thank you for all your hard work. Of course there is always more to be done, but we are grateful to you for every hour that you spend.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay strong.
